What is new?
Until the end of 2026, the Deutschlandticket costs €63 per month. From January 2027 it will cost €66.80. For the first time, the new price was calculated using a fixed index that includes staff, energy and general costs. The area where the ticket is valid does not change because of this price decision.
Who is affected?
The change affects everyone who continues using or newly buys the regular Deutschlandticket in 2027. The Deutschland-Jobticket will cost 63.46 euros if the employer meets the required conditions. The Deutschlandsemesterticket will cost 40.08 euros per month.
What should you do?
Budget an extra 3.80 euros per month from January. Check the notice from your ticket provider and ask your employer or transport association whether a Jobticket, Sozialticket or another subsidy is available to you. If you do not want to continue the subscription, check your provider's cancellation deadline.
When does it apply?
The new price applies from 1 January 2027. The fare rules adopted on 30 September 2026 expressly state 66.80 euros.
