New on MeaNext: the guide “SCHUFA explained simply”

There is a new topic section about SCHUFA. In simple language it explains what SCHUFA is, which data it stores and how you can check your data for free.

What is new?

The new guide explains step by step:

  • what SCHUFA is and what it does,
  • which data is stored – and which is not,
  • how the score from 100 to 999 works,
  • why newcomers often have no score yet,
  • how to get a free copy of your data once a year,
  • what you can do if something is wrong.

Who is affected?

This matters to you if you:

  • want to rent a flat,
  • need a bank account or a loan,
  • are new in Germany and have no SCHUFA entries yet,
  • want to know what is stored about you.

What should you do?

  1. Read the guide in your language.
  2. Check your free data copy once a year.
  3. If something is wrong, ask for a correction.
  4. Only give landlords the documents they really need.

When does it apply?

The guide has been available in all seven languages since 6 October 2026.
