Citizenship by declaration

Prepare the declaration before the deadline

Check birth dates, parents’ citizenship at the time of birth and family records. Use the official EER declaration documents and attachments or the channel indicated by your authority. The declaration must be received by the competent authority by 19 August 2031. Allow time to obtain and send records. This is not an ordinary naturalization application. Acquisition by declaration has no official fee.
